Dear Friends,
We are inundated with evangelistic programs. The last thing we need is another program. Instead, we need a heart change. I think C.S. Lewis was so right when he said that we commend to others what we cherish the most. This conference is not aimed at providing you with neat, packageable or marketable methods. This conference is aimed at building a biblical theology for sharing our faith. It begins with our hearts. You must ask yourself, "What do I treasure the most?" The very best gauge for the answer to that question is simply to ask yourself another question, "What do I talk about the most?" If it is not natural for the name of Jesus to be on our lips then we probably do not understand what he has done for us on the cross. The commands of Christ on this matter are clear. The example of the apostles is without question. Therefore, by prescription and description we have been given a mandate to make the name of our Lord known throughout the world. This passion must begin at home and not end until the unreached peoples have heard. So, we invite you to the first annual Florida Founder's Conference where we will explore God-centered Missions and Evangelism. Pastor Roy Hargrave will be leading us through the New Testament in an attempt to inspire our hearts with the Master's redemptive plan for the nations. We will seek to be informed by God's word concerning God's work, so that our methods and our passions will be rooted in God's revelation. I hope you will come. You will be inspired, and you will come to understand better the methods you employ. Sincerely, Florida Founders Conference Steering Committee Aaron Tuner Eric Benson Andy Aikens Tom Ascol Russell Taylor Tim Duffey Bill Lollar |
